Whoops there goes waiting patiently...

So I'm fully aware that this post doesn't count...I haven't technically left for Bethel yet, but I only thought it would be fair to explain to you what treasure hunts are for future references!

They start out with prayer and you ask God (not forgetting of course a time simply just to worship Him) what you should look for that night. He'll often give a location, name, appearance, ailment, or something unusual like a theme for the night. Here's a description with a divine encounter I had a while ago while on a treasure hunt....
K, so I'm standing in the middle of an eyeglass shop. I know I have a word from God because He told me to be here and Tianna to look for a green shirt. Here we are, there she is (in a very bright green shirt), and now's the time. Seriously. But I'm being eyed by the sales clerks (rightfully so for what teenager goes into an eyeglass store with friends to shop?), and the word I have for this girl doesn't really seem to fit the beautiful and confident being I tremble to approach. Yet there His voice (which sounds like mine, God can speak through our thoughts) is, absolutely refusing to let me walk away without discovering our Treasure. So I inch into the conversation between her and her significant other.

"Uh, hey...so this is Really random but I feel like God is telling me that you feel misplaced, and He says that He knows exactly where you're at, and that He doesn't mind you coming to Him as you are. Uh, I don't know if that fits you or not."

Bam. The ice is broken. She tells me that it was exactly what she needed to hear and complained she was going to start crying. We pray for her speaking her identity in Christ and as we leave the shop we hear her saying "who knew and in the eye store too!"

Oh my gosh. I can't describe to you, only God would have known she needed that. Only God could have told me to go to that eyeglass store and Tianna to look for a green shirt. Only God could have planned that timing. Wow. Only God could have told me the right thing to say to her, I am so incapable of doing anything useful without Him. Seriously, how could I have come up with that? Jesus! Yay!

Haha and this is nothing, did I mention one of my friends prayed for a dead guy that was blue in the face and he was raised to life? Yea, that's my Jesus.
